I'm Sarah, and I'm a professional portrait and wedding photographer based in Lake Garda, a huge and spectacular lake set in the mountains of Northern Italy right between Milan and Venice.
I was born and bred in the UK, and originally trained to be a classical actress at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, but after a few years working in musical theatre in London and Germany, I ran away to the desert, spending nearly two years in the South Sinai, Egypt, in a tiny Bedouin village near the Red Sea, working my way up from first time beginner to professional PADI scuba diving instructor (with a brief four month stint in Manhattan somewhere in between). It was in the Sinai that I met my Italian husband and we moved back to his home province of Brescia over 20 years ago. We now live in a house in the hills overlooking Lake Garda with our two children, four dogs, three cats and two four white fantail doves :-). I worked as a freelance Italian/English translator for many years (I have an MA in Translation), and managed a property company with my husband before finally finding my true calling - photography - around 2010/2011. Specifically, photographing people.
I have a small but very well equipped studio near Salò, Lake Garda Italy, do all hair, make-up and retouching myself and am building a fabulous wardrobe of gowns, tulle and glamorous accessories for private one to one, magazine style portrait shoots. Everyone is welcome, any age and size and I love to photograph couples and families too.
For portraits, family, engagement photography shoots in the studio and Lake Garda weddings, just contact me at the link above. I'd love to hear from you and hear your story.
